Eric B. Nettere
Chairman, Washington Wealth Management
Mr. Nettere is the founder of Washington Wealth Management and Chairman of the firm. He brings to the organization over thirty years of entrepreneurial experience, including twenty plus years in the financial industry. Mr. Nettere founded and continues to serve as Managing Partner of La Veta Oil & Gas, LLC, an exploration and production company with operations in the Mid-Continent. A member of Chicago Board of Trade for over twenty years, he has been an active investor in markets internationally, with a strong focus on Latin America, where he spends a significant amount of his time.
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Bartenstein began his career in financial services as a private banker. He worked in that capacity for three firms, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Credit Suisse First Boston (after the DLJ merger) and Merrill Lynch, establishing private banking offices for Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch in the Washington, DC market. While in that role, he worked extensively with select family office groups, Fortune 500 executives, entrepreneurs and companies seeking venture and private equity funding. He advised both on public and private equity transactions, taking one company through the S-1 phase to offering. In 2008 he joined Morgan Stanley in Southern California to head up business development. In that role he led a geographically diverse sales team to a #1 divisional ranking and a #2 national ranking in the largest coordinated sales initiative in Wall Street history. He also authored the weekly research compendium “The Weekend Packet” that was read by over 4000 advisors in the US and London. He resigned from MSSB in July of 2011 to join Washington Wealth. He is a graduate of Mary Washington College, magna cum laude, and holds a JD from The George Mason University School of Law.
Mr. Simmons is a seasoned leader with over 24 years of experience in the financial services industry, including a proven track record of opening and building new branches and expanding regions for the largest firms in the industry. He has held sales and management roles with firms such as Prudential Securities, Wachovia Securities, Merrill Lynch, and most recently Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where he served as Executive Director and Regional Director overseeing the Southern California, Las Vegas and Hawaii region for the firm.
In addition to managing Washington Wealth Management's existing branch locations, Mr. Simmons plays a critical role in leading the rapid expansion of its independent network of financial advisors. A graduate of University of Utah, summa cum laude, with a Bachelors in Economics, Mr. Simmons is based in San Diego, CA where he resides with his wife and their 6 children.
Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Meier comes to Washington Wealth Management with 22 years of experience in the financial services industry in a variety of senior management positions in business development, operations, strategic planning, information technology, finance, accounting, regulatory issues, sales and trading. He was previously Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for TransMarket Group LLC, where he provided management and operational leadership for a private global proprietary investment and trading company headquartered out of Chicago, Illinois with operations in London, Madrid, Sydney, Singapore, and Mumbai.
Prior to joining TransMarket, Mr. Meier was the Vice President of Strategic Planning for the Chicago Board of Trade, a global derivatives exchange. He is a native of Hawaii and holds a Masters of Arts and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
Director of National Sales
Mr. Bouchard has 25 years of unparalleled success in the financial industry. He has been recognized for his exceptional ability to recruit, retain and grow revenue in a unique, energetic, team atmosphere both as former Executive Director, Associate Division Director of Western Division of Morgan Stanley and Managing Director, National Sales Director of Wachovia Securities. Mr. Bouchard was named one of the Top Managers in the Industry by On Wall Street Magazine in 1998. He is based in the San Diego Headquarters for Washington Wealth, and oversight for the recruitment of new advisor groups to the firm.
Chief of Staff
Mr. Wilson started in the financial services industry in 1986 as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. He built a successful practice for 12 years, which eventually led to sales and management roles with Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and UBS. In his most recent role, he worked as a Complex Director, opening and developing offices throughout Southern California and Colorado. He is responsible for transitioning new advisors and advisor groups to the firm, and is focused on developing a world-class wealth management platform that is advisor centric, client focused and driven with an entrepreneurial mindset. Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, with a bachelors in Business Administration and Accounting. He is based in San Diego where he lives with his 3 children.
Chief Compliance Officer / Risk Officer
Serena Kokka joined Washington Wealth Management in April 2012. As CCO, she is currently responsible for WWM’s firmwide compliance including the review and implementation of the Policies and Procedures Manual, Code of Ethics, Annual Compliance Review, all Audit and Review processes, ADV filings and updates, Compliance Training and the point of contact for all compliance and regulatory inquiries and examinations. As the firm’s Risk Officer, she partners with the Directors and Advisors to mitigate Risk within the hybrid RIA, and to review all necessary items for compliance with applicable SEC and FINRA rules.
Prior to joining WWM, she spent 12 years with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in various roles. The most significant were the time spent with the largest producing team in Private Wealth Management in Menlo Park, CA, and most recently as the Regional Risk Officer of Central California, and later of the Southern California, Hawaii and Las Vegas markets. She began her career in financial services in Irvine, CA in 1998, serving in a variety of positions, including Margins, Operations and Assistant Manager positions. She is a graduate of University of California, Irvine, and is based out of San Diego, CA.
DIRECTOR, Field Operations
Mr. Sansevero has worked for over 34 years in the financial services industry. He has held positions in compliance and operations, as well as sales and management with both Merrill Lynch, Merrill Lynch Credit Corp and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where his last position was Northwest Regional Business Services Officer serving northern California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
With his experience in all aspects of the financial industry, he brings a unique and broad understanding to his position with Washington Wealth Management as Senior Vice President, Branch Director, based in the greater Seattle area of Washington State. He is thrilled to be able to provide a platform where advisors can give their clients the very best services and products.
Director, Advisor Transitions
Stephanie began her career as a registered sales assistant at Principal Financial Securities and later with Ziv Investment Co, an independent wealth management company in Chicago. After receiving her MBA in 1997, she worked at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange trading equity options. She then moved to London, England in 2000 and traded German equity options. Stephanie joined Citi Smith Barney in 2007 which then merged with Morgan Stanley. Stephanie worked in the Regional offices in Chicago at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as a Regional Administrator which oversaw 32 branches in 9 states. In 2009, she and her family moved to San Diego and later joined Wells Fargo Advisors as a Senior Client Service Associate.
Stephanie received her B.A. in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago and her MBA from the University of Notre Dame. Stephanie lives in the Carmel Valley area and has three children. She enjoys running, traveling and golfing.
