  • SEC FORM ADV 1: An investment advisor that manages $25 million or more in client assets must register with the SEC.   • SEC FORM ADV 2: SEC and similar state rules required an investment advisor to provide clients and prospective clients a brochure disclosing information about the firm. Part 2 of Form ADV sets out the minimum required disclosure that the brochure (Part 2A for a firm brochure, or Appendix 1 for a wrap fee program brochure) and brochure supplements (Part 2B) must contain.
